Hey Howdy HAA Everyone!
We’re excited to launch a new weekly series on Happily Adventures After!
Each week, tune in for our “HAA Disney: Top 10” – a podcast-style discussion exploring various top 10 lists about Disney. Inspired by the new “Hey Disney” feature at Walt Disney World Resorts, our discussions aim to offer insights and recommendations just like the service’s role as a virtual concierge.
Our HAA Disney: Top 10 topics will cover everything from attractions and dining to travel tips and hidden gems at Walt Disney World. For our debut, we’re diving into the top 10 experiences at the Magic Kingdom. This overview will touch on dining, attractions, and secret spots, with deeper dives into specific areas coming in future episodes.
So, without further ado, here’s our Happily Adventures After’s HAA Disney: Top 10 for Magic Kingdom!

- Sunshine Tree Terrace’s Citrus Swirl
This is my absolute favourite snack at Walt Disney World. I’ve raved about it before, and I will again! The frozen orange juice blended with vanilla soft serve creates the perfect creamsicle flavour. It’s a must-try! - Walt Disney World Railroad
Enjoy a relaxing ride around Magic Kingdom on the Walt Disney World Railroad. It offers unique views and interesting commentary about the park, along with a nostalgic nod to Walt Disney’s love for trains. - The Jungle Cruise and Jungle Skipper’s Canteen
The dry humour of the Jungle Cruise Skippers and the playful menu at Jungle Skipper’s Canteen always crack us up. These attractions are perfect for a fun, laughter-filled experience. - Main Street Confectionery’s Caramel Apple with Nuts
A special treat for my mom, who adores Magic Kingdom’s caramel apple with peanuts. It’s a staple of our Disney trips and a favourite for her to enjoy on the way home. - Peter Pan’s Flight
This iconic ride offers a magical experience of flying over London. Despite not being a huge Peter Pan fan, I find this ride enchanting. It’s a classic Disney experience worth the wait. - Pinocchio’s Village Haus (Specifically the Upstairs)
Known for its mediocre food, this Quick Service spot in Fantasyland is still a favourite due to the memories we’ve made here. The upstairs seating area is a quiet retreat from the crowds. - Hall of Presidents
This show provides a fascinating look at American history with impressive animatronics and cool air conditioning. My family and I enjoy the historical aspect and the chance to cool off. - Happily Ever After
A beloved nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After is a must-see for its stunning fireworks, music, and emotional impact. It’s a highlight of the Magic Kingdom experience. - Big Thunder Mountain
“The wildest ride in the wilderness” is a fun, thrilling coaster that’s perfect for all ages. It’s a great ride with a fun backstory and a fantastic view of the fireworks if you time it right. - Special Ticketed Events – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
These events enhance the Magic Kingdom experience with festive decorations, shorter wait times, and exclusive treats. Though pricey, they offer a unique Disney experience worth considering.

Honorable Mentions:
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: A charming new addition, though still too recent to be a staple.
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: A fun ride with a well-themed queue, though the wait times can be long.
- Main Street Vehicles: Fun modes of transport that we rarely get to ride but always enjoy.
- Festival of Fantasy Parade: A delightful parade we try to catch whenever we can.
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic: A memorable show that has become a favourite thanks to some fond family memories.
- Dining Outside Magic Kingdom: Options like Grand Floridian’s Gasparilla Island Grill or Contemporary’s Steakhouse 71 offer better dining experiences and a break from the park.
