Alright, let’s dive into today’s HAA Disney: Top 10 where we explore different Disney-themed top 10 lists, inspired by the new “Hey Disney” feature at Walt Disney World Resorts, acting like a virtual concierge. Our topics range from attractions, dining, and hidden gems to travel tips—and sometimes, we venture beyond Disney property.

Today’s episode takes us off Disney grounds to one of our absolute favourite places to stay during our Walt Disney World vacations: Reunion Resort and Golf Club. This resort offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and family-friendly fun. With three signature golf courses, a sprawling 5-acre water park, a tennis centre, and seven incredible restaurants (including my go-to, the Lobby Sushi Bar), Reunion is truly a getaway all on its own. What I love most about Reunion Resort is that it feels like a home away from home. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or playing a round of mini-golf, the atmosphere is both relaxing and exciting. Plus, the spacious vacation homes—many with themed bedrooms and private pools—offer the perfect balance of privacy and comfort. One of my favourite memories is our 2011 stay on Excitement Drive, a house we still talk about fondly as “the home that started it all.” Each time we visit, we make new memories but always hold onto the ones we’ve cherished for years.

Reunion makes every stay seamless and enjoyable, with perks like unlimited water park access, shuttle service around the resort, and access to all the on-site amenities. And let’s not forget, this is a great place to recharge after a long day at Disney. I love being able to step out of the Disney bubble, enjoy the peace of Reunion, and wake up refreshed for another day of magic!

With that, in no particular order, let’s get into our Top 10 on Reunion Resort and Golf Club, because as Mickey Mouse (who may be mad at me right now because I’m staying off property!), says… Here We Go!

1. The Community Pools

If you’re staying in the Reunion Resort Villas or renting a vacation home through Reunion Resort (not through third-party sites like AirBnB), you absolutely have to check out the community pools—even if your rental has its own!

I love that Reunion Resort offers seven beautiful community pools, each with its own vibe, perfect for both family fun and relaxation. My personal favourites are the Homestead and Center Court Ridge pools. They’re well-maintained, spacious, and have plenty of lounging areas. Plus, they both feature hot tubs, which I really enjoy!

What I especially appreciate about the Homestead pool is the kid-friendly splash area, making it perfect for the whole family. I also love that these pools are tucked away, so they tend to be quieter and more serene. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of activities. These inviting pools are definitely one of the reasons we keep coming back to Reunion!

2.  Great Area to Run Around (Literally!)

Though I’m not a serious runner—my husband is, and my dad used to be—I enjoy running for a good workout, and my mom does too! That’s one reason we keep choosing Reunion Resort and Golf Club as our favourite Orlando destination.

Reunion is more than just a luxurious getaway; it’s a haven for those who want to stay active. With its stunning landscape, the resort features several scenic communities, each with safe, well-maintained paths perfect for refreshing runs. Whether you’re in Centre Court Ridge, Homestead, or Seven Eagles, every neighbourhood has its own charm and picturesque views.

I truly love running through Reunion. The gated community ensures a peaceful atmosphere, allowing us to jog without worries. We’ve mapped out our own specific routes, like through Patriot’s Landing and the beautifully manicured golf courses. Our morning 5Ks have become a cherished tradition, blending fitness with family bonding.

Running here isn’t just about exercise; it’s about creating memories. With gorgeous surroundings, a welcoming vibe, and the sense of safety from frequent security patrols, every run at Reunion feels like an adventure—truly unforgettable!

3. The “Hotel” Lobby and Lobby Sushi Bar

The main lobby at Reunion Resort is truly the heart of this luxurious property. As soon as I step inside, I’m welcomed by soaring ceilings, elegant decor, and a bright, inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for my stay. The cozy seating areas are perfect for unwinding or meeting friends, while the distinct, refreshing scent instantly relaxes me.

I absolutely love how the friendly staff greet me at the door, making me feel right at home. Plus, I can’t resist stopping by the Lobby Sushi Bar for a delicious bite, whether I’m kicking off my stay or winding down after a day of fun. The lobby’s beautiful design and welcoming vibe make it one of my favourite spots at the resort!

4. The “In House” Waterpark!

The Reunion Resort Water Park is an absolute highlight of the resort, combining excitement and relaxation for guests of all ages. Spanning 5 acres, it features a lazy river, twisting slides, and a huge splash zone that guarantees fun for families. I especially love the zero-entry pool, which is perfect for cooling off and relaxing. The vibrant atmosphere, lush landscaping, and comfortable seating areas create the ideal setting for a full day of enjoyment.

What I cherish most is that this fantastic water park is included in our resort fee, allowing us to have all this fun without leaving the property. It holds a special place in my heart, filled with memories of trying to avoid getting soaked in the splash zone and enjoying poolside lunches with refreshing drinks. There’s nothing like savouring a meal by the pool after a morning of sliding and floating—it truly makes every visit feel like an epic vacation!

5.  Seeing the Walt Disney World Fireworks

At Reunion Resort and Golf Club, you can catch stunning views of the Walt Disney World fireworks from several picturesque spots on the property. One of my favourite places is the rooftop terrace of the Eleven restaurant, where I can gaze out and watch the fireworks light up the night sky. The Seven Eagles Pool Pavilion is another great spot, allowing me to relax by the pool while enjoying a clear view of the displays.

I absolutely love being able to see the fireworks from Reunion Resort! Whenever I stay there, stepping out onto my balcony or heading up to the top floor of the Grande building to catch the show feels so special. As someone who isn’t a night owl, it’s a treat to enjoy the fireworks without staying out late in the parks. Those magical moments of watching the colours light up the sky from my “home away from home” truly make my stay unforgettable!

6. The Signature Scent

One of the unique aspects of Reunion Resort is the distinct scent that fills its buildings and grounds. This inviting aroma blends the warm Florida air with the resort’s signature scent and fresh cleaning products, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels comforting and familiar.

I absolutely love the distinct scent of Reunion Resort—it captures the essence of our time there. My family and I always say, “Oh, that smells like Florida!” whenever we catch a whiff. It instantly makes us want to return! Even our laundry carries that scent home, bringing back wonderful memories and feelings of relaxation. This aroma has truly become a cherished part of our family’s vacation experience, and I treasure it!

7. The Excellent Customer Service

I want to highlight the exceptional customer service at Reunion Resort and Golf Club. From the moment you arrive, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is seamless and memorable. The warm welcome at check-in sets the tone for your stay, with friendly staff ready to assist with any requests.

I absolutely love the outstanding service at Reunion! The staff truly makes a difference in my experience, from the housekeeping team keeping everything spotless to the restaurant staff always ready to help with a smile. Their personal touch makes me feel valued and appreciated, enhancing my time at the resort. It’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back!

8. It Feels Like Home

For my family and me, Reunion Resort and Golf Club truly feels like a home away from home. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff make us feel right at ease from the moment we arrive.

We love the beautifully designed villas, which perfectly blend luxury and coziness, allowing us to relax together. The stunning community pools are a highlight, offering endless opportunities for family fun and bonding.

What makes Reunion special are the memories we’ve built—whether enjoying meals at our favourite restaurant or watching fireworks from our balcony. It’s more than just a vacation spot; it’s a cherished part of our family’s story, and I would move here full-time if I could!

9. Easy Access to Walt Disney World and other Kissimmee/Orlando areas

Reunion Resort and Golf Club strikes the perfect balance between the excitement of Walt Disney World and a peaceful escape. I love that it offers a refreshing break from the Disney bubble after a busy day at the parks.

The community pools are a highlight for me, providing a serene environment where I can unwind and recharge. There’s something special about lounging by the pool after a day of adventure—it makes me feel completely relaxed and ready for more fun the next day.

With spacious accommodations and a relaxed atmosphere, Reunion truly feels like a home away from home. It’s become my favourite place to stay!

10. The Restaurants 

Reunion Resort and Golf Club offers an incredible variety of dining options that make every meal a highlight of my vacation. I absolutely love the rooftop restaurant, Eleven, where I can enjoy modern American cuisine with stunning views and even catch the Disney fireworks on clear nights—it truly feels like a celebration!

Another favorite is the Lobby Sushi Bar, where the fresh sushi and cozy atmosphere provide the perfect unwind after a day of fun. Plus, having an on-property Starbucks means I can grab my morning coffee fix without leaving the resort! The variety and quality of the dining options at Reunion make each meal special and keep me coming back for more.

Honourable Mention

You know I can’t get out of here without an honourable mention, so here we go!

1. The Golf Courses -Reunion Resort and Golf Club features three world-class golf courses designed by legends Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Tom Watson, making it a dream destination for golf enthusiasts. While I don’t play golf, some family members do and enjoy their rounds. They appreciate the unique challenges each course presents, especially the Watson Course with its fast greens and strategic play.

The lush surroundings create a beautiful backdrop, enhancing their experience. It’s wonderful to see their enthusiasm for the game, and they always make sure to book tee times during our visits! For them, the golfing experience at Reunion is truly exceptional.
