HAA Disney: Give Me A Review – Topolino’s Terrace

Hey Howdy HAA Everyone!

Welcome back to Happily Adventures After! We are thrilled to have you here for this week’s edition of HAA Disney: Give me a Review. Today, we’re diving into one of my favorite character breakfasts to date—Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Spoiler alert: This was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.

After an adventure-filled day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we had a reservation at Hollywood Studios—and for some reason, we always find ourselves at Hollywood Studios on a Wednesday! (It’s just become a fun tradition.) Adding a character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace before heading to the park was the perfect choice, especially since the resort is so close by.

So, as a reminder, HAA Disney: Give Me A Review, your virtual concierge for all things Disney! Just like the Hey Disney feature with Alexa at Walt Disney World, we’re here to bring the magic straight to you. Whether you’re planning a trip to Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, or exploring Disney’s best dining, park experiences, flights, hotels, and so much more, we’ve got you covered with real, honest reviews.

And guess what? We may even venture out of the Disney bubble, bringing you reviews of off-property experiences if you’re looking for even more excitement in the area!

So, sit back, relax, and let HAA Disney: Give Me A Review be your guide to magical moments, on and off the Disney map!

Let’s get into the review of Toppolino’s Terrace and Rivera Resort.

During our recent trip to Walt Disney World, we had the pleasure of experiencing brunch at Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

This character dining experience is priced at $45 USD/ $63.90 CDN per adult and $29 USD/ $41.18 CDN per child (ages 3-9) plus 7% sales tax, with a 10% discount for Disney Annual Passholders.

After our visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom the day before, we made a reservation for 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday—perfect for a mid-day brunch before heading to Hollywood Studios.

Setting and Ambiance

Topolino’s Terrace sits on the top floor of the Riviera Resort, offering breathtaking views of the resort and surrounding areas, including the Skyliner in the distance. We were seated near the front, overlooking the outdoor pool, which enhanced the relaxing atmosphere. The resort itself is inspired by Walt Disney’s love of Europe, and the architectural details and overall design were stunning.

Character Interaction

The highlight of this meal was the character dining experience with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck, all dressed in art-inspired outfits. We were greeted by Daisy Duck as soon as we sat down, and the characters returned multiple times during our meal, creating meaningful, unrushed interactions. The cast members also performed a fun dance, which added to the lively atmosphere.

What We Ordered

For our brunch, we enjoyed the following dishes:

  • Two Eggs-Any Style with roasted potatoes, smoked bacon, and sausage.
  • Mickey-shaped Waffle Dippers with smoked bacon and roasted potatoes (ordered from the kids’ menu for an adult portion).
  • Lemonade.
  • Zero Proof Pineapple-Jalapeño Margarita for $13.50 USD/$19.17 CDN.

The Mickey Waffles were thick, fluffy, and perfectly crispy—just as you would expect from a Disney breakfast. The eggs were well-prepared, and the sides were excellent. The standout, however, was the pastry selection, including croissants and chocolate chip muffins. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Zero Proof Pineapple-Jalapeño Margarita was a surprise hit; even as someone who doesn’t love pineapple, I appreciated the balance of sweet and spicy flavors.

Service

Our server was exceptional—attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring we had everything we needed, from extra napkins to more syrup for the waffles. The overall service at Topolino’s Terrace was top-notch, with the staff and characters taking their time with each family, making the experience feel special and never rushed.

Cost For Meal

The total cost for our character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace came to $110.75 USD/$157.26 CDN with sales tax, not including the 10% Annual Pass discount. For this price, we truly believe it was well worth the investment—especially in comparison to other character dining experiences at Walt Disney World.

When factoring in the overall experience— the quality of the food, the intimate setting, and the incredible character interactions—this meal stands out as one of the best values. While character meals at Disney can sometimes feel rushed or crowded, Topolino’s offers a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of time to enjoy the company of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy.

Considering the attention to detail, top-notch service, and the stunning setting, the $110.75/$157.26 CDN  price tag felt justified. In the realm of Disney character meals, this one delivers a premium experience, and we’d gladly return for the quality and memories it provided

Exploring the Resort

After brunch, we took the opportunity to explore the Terrace, which offers stunning views of the Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach, and surrounding areas. The beauty of the resort is undeniable, and it’s definitely a place we would consider staying before a Disney cruise.

Coffee at Le Petit Café

Before heading to Hollywood Studios, we stopped at Le Petit Café in the resort lobby to grab a coffee. I ordered a Cinnamon Cold Brew with House-made Honey-Almond Whipped Cream for $4.99USD/$7.09 CDN pre tax or $5.34 USD/$7.59 CDN after tax, and it was one of the best coffees I’ve had in a while. The cinnamon flavour added a unique touch, and even my mom, who isn’t a big coffee drinker, loved it.

Overall Experience

This character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace was, without a doubt, worth every penny. From the excellent food to the memorable character interactions, everything about this experience was top-notch. The setting is quiet and intimate compared to other character dining options like Chef Mickey’s, and we never felt overwhelmed or rushed.

Rating: 5/5. We can’t wait to return!

Well that’s it for this week’s HAA Disney: Give Me A Review on Topollinos Terrace and Rivera Resort. We look forward to having you back next week for more!

Have a great day,
