Today, we’re shining a spotlight on one of my favourite off-property stays: Reunion Resort and Golf Club. Nestled conveniently close to the magic of Walt Disney World, this resort offers a unique blend of luxury and fun for families and Disney enthusiasts alike. So, grab your favourite snacks and settle in as we explore why Reunion Resort should be on your radar for your next adventure!

Reunion Resort and Golf Club offers a luxurious, family-friendly experience just minutes from Walt Disney World. One of its standout features is the impressive 5-acre water park, which provides endless fun for guests of all ages. With exhilarating water slides, a lazy river, and splash areas, it’s the perfect place to unwind and create lasting memories. In addition to the water park, the resort boasts three signature golf courses, a state-of-the-art tennis centre, and seven diverse dining options (my personal favourite being the Lobby Sushi Bar!). As their website states, “Experience a Florida lifestyle like no other… and make memories that will last a lifetime!”

Having visited over 60 times in the last 15 years, my family and I have only scratched the surface of what Reunion has to offer. Beyond the water park’s thrills, guests can enjoy mini-golf, tennis, and a variety of resort activities. Reunion is also perfect for special occasions, providing beautiful spaces for weddings and business retreats.

The resort caters well to families, offering accommodations ranging from one to three-bedroom villas to spacious homes. Options like themed bedrooms and private pools enhance the vacation atmosphere.

During our stay, we enjoyed one of the stunning villas nestled across six unique communities, particularly Centre Court Ridge and Villa South for their proximity to the water park and other amenities. The villas embody upscale comfort, featuring spacious living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and the most comfortable beds I’ve ever experienced. Private balconies offer breathtaking views, adding to the tranquil atmosphere.

Reunion also has a variety of vacation homes that cater to families needing three or more bedrooms, each equipped with unique amenities. We’ve stayed in several of these homes and loved every minute! The themed bedrooms and private pools create an incredible atmosphere that makes it hard to leave. Our stay in 2011 on Excitement Drive remains special as the “home that started it all.”

The kitchen and washer/dryer make it more convenient than many local options.

Included with your stay are fantastic perks like unlimited water park entry, access to the golf courses (with a fee for play and rentals), complimentary on-resort shuttle service, and 24-hour check-in. High-speed Wi-Fi and a business centre for printing needs are also available, which I’ve used more times than I expected. With 24-hour security and gated community screening, you can relax knowing you’re safe.

In short, if you’re looking for a getaway where memories truly last a lifetime, Reunion Resort—especially its incredible water park—is the place to be!

What Does Reunion Offer?

Our relationship with Reunion Resort spans over 12 wonderful years, highlighting its charm and allure. One of the things we appreciate most is its ideal location, just 25 minutes from Walt Disney World, 35 minutes from Universal Orlando Resort, and 5 minutes from Champions Gate—perfect for adventure!

Reunion Resort makes planning your Disney trip easy by offering theme park tickets on-site. They also provide complimentary shuttle transportation to and from Walt Disney World parks via Florida Bus Service. Just remember to arrange transportation at least 2 hours in advance, either at the AGS Concierge Desk in the Reunion Grande Lobby or by calling the front desk. For guests with mobility needs, it’s best to contact Florida Bus Service Dispatch at 407-857-8557 at least 24 hours ahead.

While Reunion doesn’t offer complimentary transportation to Orlando International Airport, options like Uber, Lyft, and rental cars are readily available. If you’re driving to the parks, keep in mind that parking fees apply at each park’s daily rates.

Our Review of Reunion Resort and Golf Club

I absolutely love Reunion Resort and Golf Club for its perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. From the moment I arrived, the stunning views of the golf course set a tranquil tone, making me feel right at home and creating the ideal backdrop for family time.

Staying in a spacious villa was luxurious and comfortable, with a full kitchen that made preparing meals easy and helped maintain a home-like atmosphere. The diverse on-site dining options were delightful, offering everything from casual bites to upscale meals, all just a short walk from our villa.

I enjoyed running on the beautifully atmosphere, with stunning views that made each run refreshing. The multiple pools were another highlight, catering to both lively family fun and quiet relaxation, complete with excellent poolside service.

What truly stood out was the attentive staff, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt valued throughout our stay. Being close to Orlando’s attractions while enjoying the resort’s peaceful surroundings made for the perfect balance. Overall, Reunion Resort has become my top choice for family getaways, offering a wonderful mix of relaxation, recreation, and exceptional service.

Pros and Cons of Reunion Resort and Golf Club for Walt Disney World Visitors

Variety of Amenities: The resort features multiple pools, a water park, and fitness trails, providing plenty of options for relaxation and recreation after a day at the parks.
World-Class Golf Courses: For golf enthusiasts, the resort boasts top-notch golf courses designed by renowned architects, offering a great way to unwind and enjoy some leisure time.
Family-Friendly Activities: There are numerous on-site activities for kids and families, ensuring that everyone has something to enjoy when not at the parks.
Dining Options: The resort offers a variety of dining experiences, from casual to upscale, allowing guests to enjoy meals without needing to venture far.

Cons:

Limited Shuttle Service: While there may be shuttle options to Disney parks, they can be limited, and having a car may be more convenient for quick trips.
Resort Fees: Additional resort fees may apply, which can add to the overall cost of your stay, so it’s essential to factor that into your budget.
Distance from Park Amenities: Unlike hotels located within the Disney property, Reunion does not offer direct access to Disney’s transportation systems, which could add travel time to your park visits.
More Tranquil Atmosphere: While some may appreciate the peaceful environment, others seeking the excitement and energy of being closer to Disney’s action may find Reunion a bit too quiet.
Potential for Longer Travel Times: Depending on traffic and the time of day, getting to and from the parks may take longer than anticipated, especially during peak seasons.

The spacious, luxurious villas provided the perfect homey atmosphere, especially with a full kitchen for family meals. Each dining option offered unique ambiances and delightful menus, making every meal an adventure.

For fitness enthusiasts, the picturesque running trails were perfect for morning workouts, and the variety of pools and water parks catered to both relaxation and fun for the kids. Golf lovers will appreciate the world-class courses, which add to the beautiful scenery.

The exceptional service stood out, with staff going above and beyond to make us feel valued. Being off-property allowed us to explore Orlando’s attractions while returning to a serene retreat each evening, providing the best of both worlds. The family-friendly environment ensured everyone had a memorable experience, filled with unforgettable moments from lounging by the pool to enjoying delicious meals together.
