Contempo Café Review at Disney’s Contemporary Resort; Menu, Prices, and Tips – HAA Disney Give Me A Review

Hey Howdy HAA Everyone,

Welcome back! It’s London, and today on HAA Disney: Give Me a Review, we’re diving fork-first into one of my favourite quick-service spots at Walt Disney World.

If you’ve been here a while, you know I’m all about helping you make the most of your Disney days—whether that’s skipping long lines, finding underrated snacks, or choosing restaurants that deliver both flavor and magic. And today’s pick checks all those boxes.

We’re heading over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a taste of Contempo Café—where monorail magic meets surprisingly elevated quick-service dining. Let’s dig in!

At Happily Adventures After, we know that planning a Disney trip means more than just picking parks—it means choosing where to eat, what to try, and where to find those hidden gems that make your visit magical.
That’s why we created HAA Disney: Give Me a Review—your virtual concierge for all things Disney. Inspired by the “Hey Disney” voice assistant at Walt Disney World Resorts, this series delivers real reviews of attractions, food, resorts, and experiences to help you decide what’s truly worth your time and money.

Let’s get into today’s review: Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

🍴 Contempo Café – Real Review from a Real Disney Day

📍 Location & Atmosphere

You’ll find Contempo Café on the 4th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, directly beneath the monorail platform. It’s right next to Chef Mickey’s and faces the massive Mary Blair mural, giving the space both an artistic and nostalgic touch.

This quick-service restaurant is perfect for a pre- or post-Magic Kingdom meal, and easily walkable if you’re staying nearby or taking a midday break from the park.

  • Chicken Strips with Fries$11.99
  • Three-Meat Flatbread – Marinara, Mozzarella, Sausage, Pepperoni, Bacon – $12.94

Total (USD): $85.54
Converted to CAD (1.42 exchange): $121.47

Pros

  • Surprisingly elevated food for a quick-service location
  • Convenient spot just steps from Magic Kingdom
  • Monorail views while you eat—so fun!
  • Stunning original Mary Blair art makes for a beautiful setting
  • Diverse options that appeal to both kids and adults

Cons

  • The seating area is wide open and lacks privacy
  • It can get very noisy, especially during peak dining times
  • Doesn’t have the cozy, immersive theming that some other Disney dining locations offer

Our Final Rating: 4 out of 5

We absolutely love Contempo Café, and it’s one of our favorite go-to spots when we’re park-hopping or need a break from the Magic Kingdom crowds.

The food is so much better than typical theme park fare, and the unique vibe—complete with Disney monorail magic—makes it a standout. We took off one point for the seating layout and noise level, but we still recommend it wholeheartedly.

Would we go back? Absolutely. Again and again.
