Hey Howdy HAA Everyone!
It’s London, and welcome back to Happily Adventures After: Give Me a Review — your virtual concierge for all things Disney!
Today, we’re talking about one of EPCOT’s most thrilling rides: Test Track. After months of waiting, Test Track 3.0 has finally opened — and it’s the perfect mix of nostalgia and modern excitement.
🚘 History of the Attraction: From Crash Dummies to Concept Cars
Since debuting in 1999, Test Track has always been EPCOT’s speedster, replacing World of Motion with something more thrilling. The original version featured crash-test dummies and a gritty, industrial vibe, while 2012’s Test Track 2.0 leaned into neon grids and car design interactivity. Now, 3.0 blends both worlds — keeping the thrills while nodding to EPCOT’s past.

🆕 Test Track 3.0: The New Experience
The refresh keeps the iconic 65 mph finale (thank goodness!) but adds immersive new environments inside — futuristic cityscapes mixed with natural landscapes. It feels less like a video game and more like a journey. My favorite part? The subtle nods to World of Motion. As a fan of EPCOT history, those details gave me chills.
🌟 What I Love About It (Pros)
✅ Nostalgia + Innovation: A perfect EPCOT balance.
✅ The Thrill Factor: That outdoor finale still delivers!
✅ More Story: Now it’s about movement and ideas, not just cars.
✅ It’s Back: EPCOT feels whole again.
🤔 What I Don’t Love (Yet) (Cons)
🚫 Downtime: Still prone to closures, especially with weather.
🚫 Less Interactivity: I miss the “design-your-car” chaos.
🚫 Crowds: Long waits and Lightning Lane+ demand are real.

⭐ HAA Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
So where does Test Track 3.0 land for me?
Right now, I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I love the nostalgia, the storytelling, and of course the speed. But I’m holding back that last star because of the downtime issues and the fact that the new interactivity doesn’t quite capture the same fun energy of the last version.
Still, I’m thrilled it’s open again and can’t wait to see how fans embrace this blend of past and future. For me, Test Track remains a must-do every time I step into EPCOT.
