When Galaxy’s Edge opened in 2019, Disney didn’t just create another counter-service restaurant. Imagineers built an entire backstory around Docking Bay 7, transforming it into a working cargo hangar operated by the fictional Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs and his traveling kitchen, Tuggs’ Grub.
That storytelling is noticeable immediately.
From cargo ships hanging overhead to industrial lighting, weathered walls, mechanical sound effects, and in-universe menu names, the restaurant feels fully alive. It genuinely feels less like a cafeteria and more like an actual location inside the Star Wars universe.
This is where Disney’s immersive storytelling really shines.

Located in the heart of Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Docking Bay 7 is one of the best places in the park to escape the Florida heat while still staying immersed in the land’s atmosphere.

Batuuan Beef and Crispy Topato ⭐
This ended up being one of the stronger quick-service meals we’ve had inside Hollywood Studios.
The beef was tender, flavorful, and paired well with vegetables, mashed potatoes, and crispy potato elements layered throughout the dish. The presentation also deserves credit because Disney fully committed to making the meal feel “off-world” without making it inaccessible for guests who may not want overly adventurous food.
It felt elevated compared to typical theme park quick service.
Fried Chicken Tip Yip Youngling Meal
At its core, this is essentially Disney’s Star Wars version of a fried chicken kids meal — but honestly, it worked surprisingly well.
This dish highlights one of the smartest things Disney did with Galaxy’s Edge dining: balancing immersion with familiarity. Even picky eaters can still find recognizable options while remaining inside the storytelling experience.
That balance matters, especially for families visiting Walt Disney World with younger children.
